How the packages differ

The packages are sorted by what the material covers, not by how much you are being sued for. Nobody pays more because their case is bigger.

Starter

The orientation material. It is built around the questions people ask first after being served, and it includes the worksheet for reading your own card agreement's arbitration clause.

Core

Starter plus the Response Kit. Filing, service and deadlines work the same whether or not arbitration is available, so this is the package that applies to every kind of case.

Complete

Core plus the arbitration guide. It only helps if the agreement behind the debt has an arbitration clause that reaches the case. We read all 673 consumer card agreements in the public CFPB archive: 41 have no clause at all, and many of the rest limit arbitration while a case stays in small claims. If that describes yours, the Battle Box will not do much for you, and we would rather tell you that up front.

30-day money-back guarantee if the material is not what we described.
Not a lawyer. Not a law firm. Not legal advice. ARBITRATE publishes educational self-help material and free document tools with general information only. Nothing here creates an attorney-client relationship, and nobody here can tell you what to do in your specific case or which package fits it. Court procedures and deadlines vary by state and case type and can change. Read your own court papers and verify with your local court. Consult a licensed attorney in your state about your situation; the legal help page lists free and low-cost options.
