Your debt lawsuit, one step at a time

Enter when you were served, then check off each step. This tracker always shows you the one thing to do next. It saves on your device, so you can come back anytime.

1. When were you served?

📅  Put your date on your calendar

Copy the date printed on your court papers. In most county and circuit court cases that is the deadline to respond on your summons. If your papers say Small Claims or Notice to Appear, use the court date and time printed there instead. We do not calculate this date for you.

The calendar file is made on your device and is not sent to us. The Google button opens Google Calendar with only the title and date filled in. Neither one includes your name or case number.

2. Your steps

Not a lawyer. Not a law firm. Not legal advice. This tracker is a general educational checklist, not advice about your specific case, and the deadline shown is only an estimate. Your exact deadline is on your summons, and rights and procedures vary by state and can change. Your progress is stored only in your own browser on this device. Read your court papers and, if you can, consult a licensed attorney in your state.
